Coworker: So what high-school did you go to?
Me: Actually I was homeschooled.
Coworker: Seriously?! ... You know, that actually explains why you're - like this.
Me: What's THAT supposed to mean?
Coworker: No no, it's just that you're - you're like - you're classy. You're not like other girls.
Homeschooled girls for the win.
YESSSSSSSS. repreSENT.
ReplyDeletealthough this just going along with my theory that california homeschoolers are superior and far better adjusted than most.
ReplyDeleteif you're homeschooled in north dakota, it means you're holed up on a farm somewhere and barely literate. when people learn i'm homeschooled here they always follow up with "AND YOU GRADUATED COLLEGE?"
I cannot find the "like" button on the screen, but I am pushing it in my mind!

See, that's not the way conversations go with me. They go something like this:
ReplyDelete"Where'd you go to highschool?"
Me: "Oh, I"m homeschooled."
Them: That explains why you are the way you are.
Me: What am I like?
Them: Well...you're different.Like, one of the most unique persons I"ve ever met.
See, this is a little less complimentary. :D Not representing very well, I guess. :D
